I Still Remember – A Poem
I still remember
The warmth of your tiny body on my bosom
The first time I held you in my arms
The tears of joy rolling down my face
I still remember
The sweet resonance of you suckling on my breast
The heavenly ambrosial of your milky smile
When you wrapped your tiny hands around my finger
I still remember
The panic of not finding a rhythm to your breathing
The tears rolling down my face when I held you to my heart
Though you’re no longer part of my world
I still remember!

Heartbreaking and achingly beautiful. A gentle piece as precious as a baby.

How are you?

I’m well. Been quite busy writing for a new venture. I’m very excited about it. I will be posting about it shortly.

Looking forward to reading it. Best of luck.

Thank you so much. I hope you are well too? I haven’t seen you online much.

I have been posting my usual twice a week. Have been very slowly responding because of my blurred vision.

Oh is it? That’s strange I used to get notifications for your posts. They’ve stopped, I guess. Hmm need to check.
Sorry about the blurred vision. Is there anything that can be done to help?

Rest. That’s it.

I hope you get lots of rest, then.

Heartbreaking. Beautiful. Just like so many things in life. As a mother, imagining that is devastating… Thank you for sharing!
